You can shop tax free and claim an immediate VAT refund at LDO’s Currency Exchange, which also offers the best local foreign currency exchange rates as well as a Western Union service.

All you need to do is look for the Tax Refund sign when you are shopping and ask the cashier for a Tax Refund Form. If you purchase anything at a store partnering with Planet Tax Free and spend a minimum of £135 across all your Planet Tax Free purchases, then you can get an instant tax-free refund on site. Just visit our onsite Currency Exchange store to process your refund.

For any other purchases, when you are at the airport and about to leave the UK/EU, show custom officials your purchases, your receipts and your passport. They will validate the refund. Finally, either take your documents to the Tax Refund Office at the airport (if there is one) or send your claim in the post. The money will be refunded to you.
